WHAT IS EARWAX?
Cerumen (commonly called earwax), is secreted in the ear canal, and is there for a reason! It cleans and protects the skin of your ear canal from debris, bacteria and water. Wax can build up in your ear canal, harden and become stuck, despite your best efforts to clean it out.
ABOUT EARWAX REMOVAL
We do not remove earwax at our clinics, however we can check to see if earwax is causing your problems. It is always suggested that you see your family physician or go to a walk-in clinic to assist you with earwax removal. We also recommend that after you have seen your doctor and had the earwax removed, you book a hearing evaluation test with us to ensure no damage has been caused and that it was the earwax causing problems and not hearing loss after all.
